About the Properties

Property One: The Brady Block — Strada Investment Group

The Brady Block is a transformative mixed-use development delivered through a unique partnership between Strada and the Local 38 Plumbers & Pipefitters union and its pension trust fund. Entitled in 2018, the master plan includes:

• 444 market-rate rental units

• 96 supportive housing units for formerly homeless individuals (developed with HomeRise)

• 60 rehabilitated historic units

• A 30,000 sq. ft. union headquarters

• Ground-floor retail, underground parking

• 25,000 sq. ft. of publicly accessible open space

This $450M+ project is the first private development in San Francisco to integrate market-rate and supportive housing on the same site and is constructed directly above the BART tunnel. Construction began in June 2020 and remained on time and on budget through the COVID-19 pandemic. The first residential buildings opened in August 2022 and are now in lease-up.

Property Two: Jazzie Collins Apartments — HomeRise

Part of the larger Brady Block micro-community, Jazzie Collins Apartments is a six-story permanent supportive housing development operated by HomeRise. The 50,000-sf building includes:

• 96 supportive housing units

• Community room and shared kitchen

• On-site laundry

• Outdoor courtyard

• One basement level

The project delivers long-term, service-enriched homes for formerly homeless San Franciscans in a setting intentionally designed for stability, dignity, and community.
