Research & Performance Analyst/Associate

Bailard is looking to hire a Research & Performance Analyst or Associate to support the Bailard Real Estate team. This key role will conduct analysis and reporting on the Bailard Real Estate Fund’s performance, as well as research and analyze property markets, capital markets, and macroeconomic trends. Title will be dependent on experience and skillset. This position will be located in the Bailard Real Estate Team’s San Francisco office.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Contribute to market research for quarterly reporting and ad-hoc white papers.
• Perform research and analysis to help with investment decisions and strategy.
• Analyze Fund’s performance to determine drivers of risk and return.
• Assist in integrating the Fund’s data into a portfolio management tool and a tracking tool for environmental, sustainable, and social (“ESG”) initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance or related experience with strong quantitative skills
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel required.
• Self-starter who is able to work independently
• 2-6 years of investment or real estate research experience. Solid understanding of statistics and financial terminology,
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Technical business writing skills are a plus.
