2025 ARGUS Scholarship Winner - Rahul Joshi
NAIOP San Francisco Bay Area is proud to recognize the 2025 recipients of the ARGUS Certification Scholarship, a program that supports emerging professionals from underrepresented backgrounds in gaining vital skills in financial modeling and real estate analysis.
This month, we are featuring Rahul Joshi. Rahul is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a Master of Real Estate Development + Design (MRED+D) with a concentration in Finance. He was awarded the 2025 Capretta Capstone Honors Award and currently serves on the Steering Committee of the Berkeley Real Estate Alumni Association (BREAA).
Rahul brings diverse, hands-on experience across both private and nonprofit sectors. At Brookfield Properties, he supported planning and project management for residential communities across Northern California, working closely on entitlements, construction coordination, and project milestones. With SHCLA in Oakland, he contributed to financial modeling, acquisition analysis, and public funding applications for deeply affordable and supportive housing initiatives.
Before Berkeley, Rahul co-founded Studio 1+1, leading public-private partnerships in India and managing mixed-use residential and commercial developments. He also completed MIT’s Real Estate Financial Analytics Short Course, gaining advanced skills in forecasting, Monte Carlo simulations, and investment modeling.
An active member of NAIOP SFBA, ULI, and BREAA, Rahul is passionate about community-driven development, equitable housing, and the long-term impact of the built environment. He is excited to deepen his technical skills through ARGUS and looks forward to engaging with the NAIOP SFBA community as he continues advancing his real estate career.
Outside of real estate, Rahul enjoys music, photography, podcasts, documentary films, and curates IndiaGram, one of the country’s oldest Instagram photo communities.
