Makrizia Fabio is a commercial real estate professional with specialized expertise in portfolio and asset management who is passionate about building community. In her role as Portfolio Manager at Presidio Bay Ventures she finds great satisfaction in her work creating and managing innovative spaces for people to enjoy that change the landscape of their communities. “I have continually volunteered my time to help my community through tutoring children and feeding the hungry,” she said.
Gavin Sood graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Political Science-International Relations, and a minor in Communications. Gavin is also on the verge of obtaining his A.A. in Real Estate from Merritt College in Oakland.

Briana Harney is a capital markets expert who is passionate about diversity and inclusion in the commercial real estate industry. As Vice President of Debt & Equity at NorthMarq Capital she is breaking barriers in the traditionally male dominated environment of commercial real estate finance. In her role, Harney finances all commercial property types throughout the Bay Area and brings her clients a depth of experience in multifamily, office, mixed-use and industrial product types. Through the course of her career, she has built a substantial expertise in structured finance transactions and construction financing.

NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, has selected Hudson Pacific Properties as the 2021 Developer of the Year – the association’s highest honor. The award will be presented during NAIOP’s CRE.Converge conference in Miami Beach this September.

Then, Melinda Ellis Evers, Co-Founder and Managing Principal, Ellis Partners, moderated a candid conversation with all of the speakers to discuss the Bay Area development landscape and how they are positioning themselves for the future.
Stanford University’s team, Cardinal Partners, took home bragging rights, the coveted James W. Brecht Memorial Golden Shovel, and a $2,000 check for charity, compliments of Mechanics Bank, at NAIOP SFBA’s 32nd Annual Cal-Stanford Real Estate Challenge on Thursday, April 29th.
September 28, 1950 - March 3, 2021 Byron Warren Pinckert husband, father, architect and novelist passed away on March 3, 2021, in Long Beach, CA. Pinckert was the author of both editions of NAIOP’s influential publication, “Rules of Thumb for Distribution/Warehouse Facilities.” After graduating in 1968 from Pacific High School in San Bernardino, CA, Byron earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Southern California (1968-1972) followed by a master's degree in architecture (MArch) from Harvard University Graduate School of Design (1972-1975).
