The NAIOP SFBA Young Professionals Group (YPG) is a highly selective, 12-month program designed to cultivate the next generation of commercial real estate leaders. Through intensive leadership training, a comprehensive industry education, and valuable networking opportunities, YPG provides an unparalleled foundation for career growth.

These sessions offer a chance to hear from program leaders, past participants, and NAIOP SFBA representatives about what to expect in YPG, the selection process, and how the program can accelerate your career in commercial real estate.

Program Highlights

• Comprehensive Industry Education: Monthly sessions covering acquisitions, development, financing, asset management, and entrepreneurship. Opportunities to collaborate with peers on real estate case studies.

• Leadership Development: Best-in-class leadership training to enhance business and professional skills. Mentorship and coaching from senior industry leaders.

• Exclusive Networking & Career Growth: Build lasting relationships with a cohort of 35 rising industry leaders. Access to a powerful network of NAIOP members.
   

Program Structure & Commitment

• Session Dates: Mandatory monthly in-person classes from 2:00-6:00 PM, followed by a networking happy hour.
  Key dates: 9/17/25, 10/22/25, 11/19/25, 12/17/25, 1/14/26, 2/11/26, 3/11/26, 4/15/26, 5/13/26, 6/10/26.

• Time Commitment: Preparation and homework outside of class. Required participation in a weekend retreat (Aug 15-17, 2025).
   

Admissions Criteria

• Who Should Apply? Young professionals in the commercial real estate industry, 35 years or younger as of December 31, 2025. Demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to growth.

• Selection Process: 35 candidates selected annually based on professional achievements, diverse perspectives, and employer endorsement.

• Program Tuition: $4,000 total, split as follows: $3,500 covered by employer, $500 paid by participant. NAIOP Developing Leader membership required. Tuition payment deadline: August 1, 2025
