NAIOP San Francisco ARGUS Scholarship Winner Profile - John Valencia
We are thrilled to announce the winners of the ARGUS Scholarship and will be introducing them over the next few issues of the newsletter.
John Valencia joined Washington Capital in January of 2018 as a Real Estate Analyst in the San Francisco office. John focuses on debt underwriting and analysis of potential financing opportunities. He prepares the Real Estate Investment Committee debt financing memos for all the major product types offered reporting directly to the managers for real estate debt. He is responsible for financial modeling, market research, property tours, and special projects.
Prior to joining Washington Capital, John held accounting and finance internships at Playground Global and at GGV Capital in Silicon Valley during his time at university. John made his transition to the commercial real estate industry upon graduation.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with minors in International Business and Spanish Studies from Santa Clara University.
He is a member of ULI San Francisco’s chapter in the Young Leaders Group, the Belden Club, and the Bay Area Mortgage Association. John is also the Treasurer for the United We Speak Toastmasters Club. In his free time, John enjoys reading, cooking, and playing soccer on his intramural team in North Beach.
