Please join us for NAIOP SFBA's Annual Commercial Real Estate Finance Panel to hear from debt capital providers who are making loans on all property types (including office). Learn what is getting financed, what is not, and what lenders are doing with deals that have “issues”. Our panel of market participants will discuss volatility, liquidity, terms, and pricing, as we all navigate the current financing market. After the panel discussion, join us for appetizers, drinks, and networking at Harrington's Bar.

Panelists
James Abbee, Managing Director, Real Estate Finance Group, Goldman Sachs
James has been with Goldman Sachs since 1998. In his role as a Managing Director in the Real Estate Financing Group, he is currently co-head of the National Conduit Originations team and head of the REFG Dallas office, while also maintaining primary responsibility for west coast client coverage – including both CMBS and balance sheet financing solutions. Prior to Goldman Sachs, James began his career in the Corporate Banking Group at Wells Fargo.
Christine Boyd, Managing Director, Commercial Real Estate Debt Group, Apollo
Ms. Christine Boyd joined Apollo in 2015 and is a Managing Director in the Commercial Real Estate Debt Group. At Apollo, Ms. Boyd is responsible for the origination, due diligence, underwriting, structuring and execution of commercial real estate investments, including first mortgages, mezzanine loans, B-notes and preferred equity. Prior to joining Apollo, Ms. Boyd was an Associate in the Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities Origination group at J.P. Morgan where she worked on a large loan team responsible for loan origination, underwriting and securitization. Ms. Boyd graduated from Cornell University, where she received a BS with Distinction in Policy Analysis and Management with a minor in Real Estate.
Brian Heafey, Partner, PCCP LLC
Mr. Heafey joined PCCP in 2000. Mr. Heafey is the Head of Debt Management and is responsible for PCCP’s debt portfolio and serves as the Fund Manager for many of its debt investment vehicles. Notably, Mr. Heafey serves as the Fund Manager for the Firm’s commingled value-add debt series of vehicles. Additionally, Mr. Heafey is a member of the Executive Committee, which primarily oversees Firm strategy and policy, resource allocation, risk and compliance. Prior to his role as Head of Debt Management, Mr. Heafey was Head of Investment and Portfolio Management for both PCCP’s equity and debt portfolios. Prior to joining PCCP, Mr. Heafey was a Consulting Manager for E&Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group throughout Asia and the United States. Mr. Heafey received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. He is a former Trustee for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, former board member of Rose Court, a low-income housing development, and is active in Canine Companions for Independence.
Michael Pace, Head of San Francisco Regional Office - Real Estate, MetLife
Michael Pace is head of the San Francisco regional office. He has over 20 years of real estate experience with MetLife in the San Francisco regional office covering the major metropolitan areas in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Prior to his current position, Pace actively led the San Francisco regional office as the debt team leader responsible for managing a debt portfolio comprised of approximately 100 loans totaling $8 billion. He has been active in the origination, underwriting and closing of over $10 billion in commercial mortgage financing with transactions sizes up to $500 million. Pace also executed debt placement requirements for MetLife’s equity investments. Prior to MetLife, Mike worked for Sumitomo Bank of California. Pace participated in the Real Estate Development program and has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. His industry participation includes ULI, Bay Area Mortgage Association, and Mortgage Bankers Association.
Jordan Angel, Senior Managing Director, Silicon Valley Office Co-Head (Moderator)
Jordan is a senior managing director and co-head of the Silicon Valley office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience. He focuses primarily on debt and equity placement transactions throughout the western United States. Jordan started at HFF in March 2014. Prior to joining, he worked most recently as an executive director at Barry Slatt Mortgage Company. He has secured billions of dollars in debt and equity for office, industrial, multi-housing, retail, NNN, mixed-use and other commercial property types.
