We are excited to announce one of the most iconic sites in the 35 years of Golden Challenge history: The San Francisco Centre (Formerly known as Westfield Centre), sponsored by the City of San Francisco. This year’s Challenge will center on the most timely and relevant conversations happening in San Francisco regarding the future of downtown and retail in the city.

As San Francisco looks to rebuild the vitality of its downtown post-pandemic, one site is considered key. Located in the center of it all, the San Francisco Centre site presents an opportunity to reimagine approximately 6 prime urban infill acres to serve as a linchpin for San Francisco’s revitalization.

There’s no better site to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the NAIOP SFBA Golden Shovel Real Estate Challenge. Don’t miss your chance to hear how Stanford and Berkeley graduate student teams propose to push the envelope on innovation to reimagine this iconic site.
