ARGUS Scholarship Winner - Joseph Yu
We are thrilled to announce the winners of our ARGUS Scholarship and will be introducing them over the next few issues of the newsletter.
Joseph Yu is a Harvard University Master in Real Estate Candidate that is expected to graduate in June 2024.
Prior to Harvard, Joseph graduated from UCLA with Cum Laude Honors and began his real estate career with Cresa as a Project Coordinator supporting Tenant Improvement and Landlord CAPEX projects. As a trusted Owner's representative, Joseph helped manage a $3 million renovation of a 3-story commercial building and a $17 million creative office development. He also value-engineered construction plans and negotiated various consultant contracts to achieve budget goals.
Most recently, Joseph was a Development Associate for Related where he supported all aspects of development. This includes managing design, financing, entitlements, construction, and lease-up of more than 600 affordable housing units throughout California.
With 5 years of commercial real estate experience, Joseph is always hungry to learn more about real estate and strives to deliver excellence. As a result, he is thrilled to receive the NAIOP SFBA ARGUS Scholarship to support his career goal in Mixed-Use Acquisitions and Development. Joseph is excited to explore and work across various asset types that will encourage a live-work-play environment. Driven by unlimited optimism and determination, Joseph looks forward to delivering high quality developments that will positively impact his community!
