ARGUS Scholarship Winner - Christina Sutton

We are thrilled to announce the winners of our ARGUS Scholarship and will be introducing them over the next few issues of the newsletter.

Christina Sutton (she/her/hers) (PMP, PMI-ACP)  founded O'thentik Designs, an interior design boutique firm based in Oakland, CA. Christina is a planner and project and program management professional with experience in private, public, and non-profit urban planning, policy, real estate, and economic development sectors. She has managed and contributed to numerous housing and community development projects on a local and global scale.

She holds a strong interest in the commercial real estate development industry. With a passion for serving and creating equitable solutions in underserved communities, she values innovative mixed-use and conversion solutions to support affordability, community-serving retail, and creative entrepreneurship hubs to boost local economies. Christina takes great pride in mentoring and coaching young leaders to advance their careers and foster an understanding of reflective develop­ment practices. 

Christina holds a Master's in Urban Development Planning from University College London, a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University, and a recent USC Ross Program in Real Estate Graduate. She is a member of the American Planning Association, the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the Black Commercial Real Estate Network (BCREN). She is a certified Project Manager and Agile Professional with numerous construction management, finance, and development certifications. 

She loves training and running marathons, cycling, yoga, cooking, reading architecture, and design journals, and enjoying outdoor excursions with her two children during her spare time.

As a lifelong learner who values continual growth, she is excited to deepen her industry knowledge and skills through the Argus platform and looks forward to joining and connecting with NAIOP SFBA chapter network.
