Congratulations to the Winners of the 9th Annual Best of the Bay Awards!

NAIOP SFBA brought back its Best of the Bay Awards with the 9th annual event on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the Four Seasons in San Francisco.  Matt Field, President of TMG Partners, served as master of ceremonies and kept his predecessor, Luis Belmonte’s tradition alive by employing his infamous gong.

New Pilot Returns to Downtown Express Service to 1 California Muni Line

Mayor London N. Breed and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) today announced an updated 1X California pilot program to offer express bus service between Downtown and the Richmond District beginning February 21, 2023.

Increasing reliable transit service, protected bike lanes, and safer streets and sidewalks will bring more people to and through Downtown. New transit lanes installed on California, Clay and Sacramento streets have made travel times on the local 1 California 11% quicker, and the 1X California will provide an even faster ride from the Richmond to the Financial District.

Congratulations to the NED 2022 Graduates!

NAIOP SFBA is proud to announce the graduation of Class 2 of the NAIOP Executive Development Program on December 8, 2022. The intensive program concluded with a final overnight Retreat in Berkeley with instructors Julie Chesley and Terri Egan.

We look forward to opening applications for the NED program 2023 very soon! The first information session will be January 11 (see below to register) and the class will run June-November 2023.

Celebrating 20 Years of Service to NAIOP

Richard Morisky is a real estate tax attorney who is passionate about providing great service to clients. He believes that understanding the technical detail of new tax law and being able to explain it to a client is essential and requires focus, patience, and persistence. A 30-year veteran of the profession, he recently joined the firm RHW CPAs after a long tenure as partner with renowned firm Grant Thornton and Andersen. Subsequently, he practiced as a tax attorney with Dorband & Schneider, LLP.
